Our Story

Saraland Water Service was established in 1960 to provide dependable, clean drinking water to a growing community determined to build its own future. What began as a small utility serving just over a thousand residents has grown into a vital system supporting thousands of homes, businesses, and public facilities across the city.

Through steady investment and community commitment, Saraland Water & Sewer has expanded its infrastructure over the decades—adding new wells, storage tanks, and miles of water and sewer lines to meet the needs of a thriving population. The addition of the city’s sewer service in 2015 marked a major milestone, bringing both water and wastewater management under one unified system.

Today, Saraland Water & Sewer remains guided by the same values that shaped its beginning: Integrity, Quality, and Dependability. Our team is dedicated to providing safe, reliable service that protects public health, supports growth, and sustains Saraland’s future for generations to come.
