Spring Into Water Awareness
April is Water Awareness Month. Small spring habits can help protect your home and our local waterways.
Water plants early in the morning to reduce evaporation, add mulch to retain soil moisture, and consider native plants that require less watering. It’s also a good time to check irrigation timers, sprinkler heads, and hose connections for leaks. If outdoor hoses aren’t in use, disconnecting them can help prevent unnecessary water loss.
You might also consider installing a rain barrel to capture runoff for your garden and reduce demand on treated water.

Celeste Road Sewer Improvements
We are replacing about 1,400 feet of sewer main on Celeste Road to boost reliability and support future growth. You may see crews and temporary lane shifts in the area as work continues, but we will do our best to minimize disruption and keep neighbors informed. For fastest posting, pay online at saralandwater.com or use the Saraland Water & Sewer app. Setting up ACH ensures automatic, on-time payments. Mailed payments, including checks sent by your bank’s bill-pay service, can take extra days and may post after the 15th, so please schedule them several business days early. You can also pay in person or use the office night drop box.
