Stay Vigilant this Hurricane Season

Hurricane season is in full swing, and taking a few simple steps now can help keep your family safe and prepared before severe weather arrives.

Prepare Your Home Before the Storm:

Know where your home’s main water shutoff valve is located.

Store Emergency Drinking Water If a storm disrupts water service, it’s important to have clean drinking water available. Keep at least one gallon of water per person, per day for three days, along with additional water for pets.

How We Prepare

Our team works year-round to provide safe, reliable water and sewer service. Before and during severe weather, we inspect critical equipment, secure facilities, monitor system performance and have crews on standby to respond as quickly as possible if outages or emergencies occur.

Together, we can help ensure our community is ready for whatever hurricane season brings. Stay informed, make a plan and be prepared.

Customer Service Tip

Have a large yard, sprinkler system, or swimming pool? An irrigation meter could help you save. If your property uses a high volume of outdoor water, installing an irrigation meter may help lower your utility costs over time.

Qualifying irrigation meters measure outdoor water use only, meaning you are not charged sewer fees because that water does not enter the sewer system. Water-only rate: $6.78 per 1,000 gallons Contact our office at (251) 675-5126 to learn more about eligibility, installation requirements, and whether an irrigation meter is a good fit for your home.
