Rate Increase Information

Moderate Rate Increase 2026

Our community depends on reliable water and sewer service every day. To help maintain that trustworthy service as operating costs continue to rise, Saraland Water & Sewer will implement a 2.5% water rate increase and a 5% sewer rate increase. Updated rates will be reflected on October statements.

For a minimum-usage customer, the monthly bill will change from $37.48 to $38.99, an increase of $1.51 per bill. An average-usage bill will change from $64.18 to $66.76, an increase of $2.58 per bill. The adjustments help offset rising costs for materials, power, fuel and other operating expenses while supporting the safe and clean service our residents count on.
